This project compares the same beige carpet before and after cleaning in two areas of a home. In the bedroom, the before photo shows overall dulling and a dark line running across the floor. Near a closet with louvered doors, a dark soil line runs along the carpet toward the doorway.
Dark lines like these often form where air moves under doors or along walls and leaves fine particles in the carpet, or where a seam or traffic path concentrates soil. After cleaning, both areas show a lighter, more even color and a fresh grooming pattern.

Dark lines near doors and walls are common and often respond well to targeted treatment. Some lines caused by fine particles may need more than one treatment.
